One of Australia's oldest Santa Gertrudis studs
Located in Baryulgil, Northern NSW, Yulgilbar spans 35,000 acres and boasts a rich history in Australian agriculture. As the third oldest Santa Gertrudis stud in Australia, established in 1954, it stands as the largest Santa Gertrudis cattle operation in NSW.
Yulgilbar takes pride in its extensive Santa Gertrudis gene pool, incorporating some of the best genetics worldwide. Santa Gertrudis bulls and semen are available for sale year-round.
The Annual Production Sale occurs on the first Friday in September, featuring up to100 bulls, stud females and commercial breeders. Yulgilbar also hosts an industry field day every three years, showcasing its premier livestock and industry innovations.

The Broadwater division's primary use is as a feeding facility for cattle. This supplementary feeding program was designed to ensure proper preparation of sale cattle — up to 1,500 head can be fed in the purpose-built facility. Broadwater is also Yulgilbar's machinery and maintenance hub, and the Clarence River flats here are largely double-cropped to rye grass, oats, sorghum and corn.
In 2017 Broadwater also gained the Yulgilbar Big Shed, a purpose-built sale facility giving Yulgilbar a permanent home for annual sales and field days — with a sale ring, multi-level seating, caterers' kitchen, private office, lounge and a large under-roof area to view cattle.

The Farm, with its picturesque scenery, is an important part of Yulgilbar's cattle program. Cropped and irrigated areas are used for the annual insemination program — a key part of Yulgilbar's stud program. The Farm is also home to first-calf heifers and weaners thanks to its fertile Washpool Creek flats.

Tooloonki is an outstation reacquired by Yulgilbar in 2006, having been originally owned by Yulgilbar until the 1960s. It features 600 hectares, including 320 hectares of farming country suited to Yulgilbar's cash cropping program — corn, soya beans, adzuki beans, lucerne, triticale and barley. Young females are run on the rest of Tooloonki, and weaner steers are brought on depending on market conditions.
